Now, all I need to figure out how to do is get past that 7F bluescreen on XP64 after first start

now taht´s a tight system... congrats!!
btw, why didn´t you go for sckt 939? i ask it, cause the price of your proc is enough to get an 3500+, although slower, it´s sckt 939...
anyway, it´s still an awesome rig!

I think the 3700+ out performance the 3500+

The only differenence between the 940 and 939 are registered/non-registered memory and cache. It balances out, but the 3700 has higher frequency, which makes it a little better.
