Well, I have my 42 dollar 1700+ at over 2ghz 24/7, and I can get it at least 150 mhz higher for benching, but it's not totally stable unless I raise the voltage way up.
I LOVE this CPU. For 42 dollars, you CAN'T get a better CPU. It's too bad you can't find these little babies anymore.
Anyway, my PC is as follows. CPU
- AMD Athlon XP 1700+ T-Bred B @ 2ghzMobo
- MSI KT4 Ultra SRMemory
- 512 megs of Corsair XMS 3200C2 PlatinumVideo Card
- Asus V8420S. It's a 4200 with a core of 261 and memory of 550 stock. It is also on the 4600 PCB.HDD
- 30 gig WD Caviar
Not a bad system for cheap.
