Hi, I was looking on the amd motherboard compatablitly chart and the only mobo that supports the opteron 144 (s939) is the tyan tomkat, Will the processer work on all nforce4 s939 mobos

if i remember right, you need a BIOS update for your board that specifically says it is made to work with the new opterons. not all motherboard manufacturers will always make a BIOS for the new CPU's, so i woultn get your hopes up. just check your motherboard brand's sight for a BIOS update.

I think (don't 100% trust me on this) that the DFI Lanparty 939 mobos do support the s939 opterons without a problem.
But still, updating your BIOS is a good thing /cool.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='cool.gif' /> .
