One of my friends is gonna get a new computer an he has a budget of $800, i configured a system for him and i was wondering if you guys agree/disagree with my selections. One thing though, PSU and Case are not changeable as he has already bought them.

Case: CoolerMaster Wavemaster $119
Motherboard: MSI K8N Neo4-f $84
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice $146
Video Card: eVGA 6600GT PCIe $169
RAM: 1GB Corsair XMS PC3200 2-3-3-6 $128
HDD: WD Caviar 80GB 7200RPM SATA $53
Drive: Samsung DVD-ROM/CR-RW combo drive $35
PSU: E-Power PUMA II $46

It all totals to $780 + shipping.

Thats an awesome case, just if you're on a budget the question raised is why? ... looks good though, and it will not disappoint

Get RAM with better timings. Spend $10 more and get better RAM - OCZ/Mushkin Redline is available on ZZF for $116 ... From my experience, it's better than Corsair XMS. Everything else looks good. /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />
