I’d say go for it (if your after one) can only be based and the reference design and the price is good.

Its got the same HSF as the Asus, XFX, Jaton, Albatron, and AOpen 7800GTs. So I think thats a great deal. If I had PCI-e Id prolly buy one /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

Hey, it's a 300 buck 7800GT, it will run at stock speeds no problem, but it's OCing potential may be crippled, who knows.

You can get a BFG 7800GT from Dell for a little over 300 bucks /biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

It uses the referrance design, so it should be fine, but I agree, I'd go with the BFG. The premade overclock it has is probably only good for 2-3 more FPS, but hey, why not?

Ahh, but the support from a big name company *should* be better.

(unless the company is called MSI)

AMEN. I take it I'm not the only one who's had a bad MSI support story recently?

No, they wouldn't take a second mobo RMA from me /dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' />

Newegg has taken about 5 of them without a single problem or a complaint while MSI can't stop bitchin.

BFG is the greatest when it comes to tech support and warranty.

That deal of BFG is really something worth getting. Besides that, I would always want to invest in a GFX card from good known and well reputed company.

i know that BFG has a lifetime warranty that will extend just about forever meaning that if they stop making the card you have, they will give you the next series card. is eVGA's like this too or what?

that is some new info for me too. i just took a look at BFG's 7800GT and eVGA's 7800GT. eVGA has it clocked to 445mhz and BFG has it clocked at 425mhz. i thought BFG was the one who overclocked the highest.

nah, XFX has gone insane, they have several models of video cards to choose from, and they're all clocked differently!
