3200+ Venice @2.4ghz OC
2x512 OCZ DDR500

or

3200+ Venice @2.4ghz OC
2x1024 Corsair Value with SPD 5:6 so it runs normal 200

yes I know it can go higher, but this is all I want because I plan to use the stock HS/fan.

The price difference for the ram is only $10...

so would I get more performance from the OC'ed Venice with 1gig super ram at 240mhz?
or the OC'ed Venice with 2gigs under/overclocked back to 200mhz?

Both a gig and 2 gigs are plenty , i would go for whichever one can run tighter timings.

pff, forget it, 2GB is too much right now, it will hinder your OC, and allows for higher latencies. a gig is more than enough, i'd take the OCZ DDR500 gig.

EDIT: that's for GAMING.... if you do something memory intensive like video editing, you might want to think of those 2 GB... if only gaming, a gig os enough.

What's your mobo? If you have one of the new DFI nf4 boards, i suggest getting some OCZ Gold VX ram....there's pc3200 and pc4000. Its guaranteed to run 2-2-2-6 @ DDR 500 (the pc4000, that is). Only catch is you need to be able to supply the ram with upwards of 3.0 V. You can get an OCZ DDR booster if you dont have a board that can support those voltages.
