NZXT in the recent past has been involved in offering some really amazing and cool looking cases. I like them over thermaltake now.

I agree, I haven't owned one but I definatley would like one. I espeically liek the fact that they are using 120mm fans instead of 80mm. I also like the featuer that the case is raised a few inches off the ground thus making use of installing a bottom intake fan where all the cooler air is.

Adding a intake fan right at the bottom of the case always does wonders in my personal experience. And since NZXT use the 120mm fans, they are less noisy as the bigger the fans, lesser the noise they create.

that is a sweet case.

but in the review, a CON for it is the Price (with exclamation mark /ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' /> )

how much is it?

i'm still going with the Antec P-180 early next year, but who knows what will pop up by then.

From my experience the bigger fans are louder... but they move a lot more air. I don't really like the way it looks, but raising it off the ground for an intake on the bottom is a great idea.

and with an intake on the bottom, you could also then just put the case on top of an AC vent and go nuts on the overclock. /happy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='happy.gif' />

Bigger fans are louder ? That's a new one !!
They usually have lower rpm for highr cfm and are less noisy...

It's about $175 US. But that inckudes a 500w PSU.

It looks cool and has its bottom lifted off the surface (as said earlirer) for additional cooling.

The article does say that the $$ puts into higher brand competition, but there's a lot of features to it...... HMMM

NZXT has come a long way since the hideous Guardian and even more hideous Nemesis...the Lexa is nice looking and unique, but even with a 500w psu, it's still overpriced (they're $129 without a psu)...

I kind of like the NZXT Trinity' ">http://www.newegg.com/Product/...p?Item=N82E16811146015, but even at that price, I'd probably get a Coolermaster Centurion or Cavalier 3

IMO none of the mentionned above match the Antec P180 and the Thermaltake Kandalf...

Airflow-wise, it has it. There is little debate there. But it irritates me that manufacturers have moved toward a trend of cases that look more like modern art then computers. It looks nice, I suppose, but a little too much like a piece in a Salvador Dali collection.

hold your breath when you look at the price, though it's not as expensive as their computer desk/case hybrid, or that Zalman heatsink case

my friend mark wants that case(the posted one not the lian li) the funny thing is his rig is as follows 2.8 celeron, 512 corsair value, and a 6600 vannilla refurbished, and a gigabyte mobo. He spent like 200 dollars in accecories for that computer though. Its funny. Anyway. I told him to upgrade his computer first and hes like "but im tired of my case" in fact he bought a 100 antec psu when he only has one hd and doesnt have a powered gpu. He bought a 60 dollar mouse, and a 40 dollar keyboard and spent about 50 bucks in cooling.

BTW his case is a raidmax mustang which isnt exactly an eysore

anyway, i like more subtle cases, like mine the UV wizared, for the most part. This modded case however is a beauty. I like it. I'm tempted but i'd rather put the money towards a new moniter. 22inch crts are under 150 at tigerdirect. Some for only 100.

You know why silk? Because the PC is becoming an integral part of the home. Take a look at DVD players, TVs, etc. They have evolved with time and technology to reflect the home (remember when tvs were in wood stands?).

Why can't this be the same for the PC. Frankly I prefer to look and/or have the lexa than the drab beige boxes of old.

I agree with the reiview in regards if price, the lexa is 175 USD.

Lastly, I don't rember who from the boards here showed that Lian Li case but I must say thats an awesome case. The airflow in that thing must be BAD!!
