I had my computer serviced and when I got it back it had a lower speed chip in it. In order to verify this I wonder is there any way to id my chip from the numbers on it? serial#500099439908U

Other numbers on it are 7XDA2800DKVAD

Sounds like it's an Athlon XP 2800+

Are you sure you have the model number correct?

It should be AXDA2800DKV4D if it's a 2800+

Double check the model number, and report back here

They probably just reset the bios/cmos and didnt put it back to default frequencies.
I believe the 2800+ should be 12.5x166
