I am going to do a Media Center PC. And am willing to be the Test Subject here at AMD forums. You guys suggest...I buy...we will all see. I have a plan...but am very...VERY willing to change the setup rig at any moment. Only thing I say that is a requirement is...that its Socket 754. And even that can change. I mean...Upgrading the PC's in my house is a fun task. New parts...yeah its a nice thing to me. But anyway, I want to build something that might have some HDTV Capability. But, the main thing is, now....in the house the only HDTV is in my room. Not where this Media Center PC will be. So no real need for HDTV at this time...it can always be upgraded later. The MCE(Media Center PC) will be in the living room. Not just me dealing with this thing, parents, friends, Family members...etc...

Anyway....I have investigated the possiblity of a MCE system for a good 5 straight hours with some Republic Commando playing time in between...lol...and I have gone off of this review as the norm....

I wont need(although, a good deal is a good deal) a huge hard drive.

The only things I will have for this system are as follows....

Sempron 2600+ 90nm @ 1.6ghz S754
Gigabyte ATI Radeon 9600 pro 128mb
Gigabyte K8NS NF3250 Mobo
1GB Ram(cheap...dont ask. hehe)
80GB WD Sata HD 8mb buffer
350W PSU (enough...probably...lol)
Cheap case. enough(again...probably...lol)

Dont have the TV Tuner...or Video In card, or the DVD drive...but still....what are your guys opinions on what I need to complete...or how would you guys build a MCE rig?

As for the tv tuner I would go for the Hauppague (SP?) PVR250, it offers great quality and at a reasonable price. If you also want an hardware decoder then go for the PVR350.
