I read on here where somebody was saying that side and top case fans where worthless because they made hot spots. Well i put this to the test and hooked my side and top fan to the fan only input on my psu. I have a 120mm exhaust fan on back and two 80mm intake fans on front. It raised my cpu temp by about 2 degrees by doing this, but the weird thing is it dropped my mobo temp about 2 degrees. By hooking the fans to the fan only connector it cut their speed down to 1200 rpm which made my case a lot quieter. I think it is worth a couple more degrees in heat to lose a lot of that noise. Now i just need a quiet 120mm fan because mine is loud as [content edited]. Is it possible to get one that still moves lots of air but is not so loud? I had a post before that asked how hot hard drives where supposed to get because mine was around 47 degrees C most of the time. That was before i had any fans in front of the case. With those two 80's in front my hard drive stays around 30 degrees now. I can't believe how much of a differance they made.

Room temp makes a huge differance too i guess. I opened up screen door to let fresh air in and my temps dropped to 40 for cpu, 28 mobo and 25 Hdd. Be cool if it was by a window to run an air duct right to the intake fans on the case.
