Hey guys i found a new home for my current system even tho it has only been like 3 weeks since i built it. Don't worry my cousin is a gamer and he will be taking good care of it. anyway i was thinking about a MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI this mobo looks awsome but i have also seen good things about the ASUS A8N-SLI nForce4. Can anybody tell me which one is better? pros and cons maybe. I trust both MSI and Asus but rigth now i'm kinda leaning towards the MSI. I like the Soundblaster chip on the MSI . This mobo would likley be paired with a Winnie either a 3200+ or a 3500+ not sure yet. Video is undecided also but i was thinking maybe 2 chaintech 6600g's but i migth go with 1 6800GT and get another one Later or maybe even 2 6800vanillas

i have the MSI K8N SLi platinum, unfortunately i cant comment on it tho, as my processor (A64 3500+ Winchester) hasnt arrived yet. but many ppl will probably agree it is a better board for overclocking.
i have also got 2x MSI 6600GT graphics cards, as they were slightly cheaper than the single 6800GT. but as the board is skt939 and has 2 pci-e slots it should be good for a while. im gonna get A64 fx55 in a year or two and most probably upgrade the graphics cards.

still to add: HD3870x2, 750gb barracuda.

Yep SLI 6600GT's a waste. 1 6800GT will be much better of with the option to add a second later. As for what board. I like the MSI easier to update and install. Asus boards tend to be a pain in the neck.

MSI has been making great boards lately, and it looks like this SLI mobo is opretty good. so, MSI. about the videocards, get a 6800GT, and if necessary, get another in some time. one 6800gt will be enough for a while don't you think?

I have installed these 2 boards. They both are great. But I like the sound that the MSI offers, and I am becoming an MSI fanboy as of late. Been on a roll with making great products.
