I think the CNPS7000A is equipped with Fan Mate 1' ">http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/pr...ew.asp?idx=14&code=017 while CNPS7000B is equipped with Fan Mate 2' ">http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/pr...ew.asp?idx=70&code=017. The difference between the Fan Mates is that the newer one has a different way of connecting to the power and HSF.

The all copper version cools better than the mixed aluminum/copper version, though it's heavier. But the included mounting bracket is really sturdy. I wasn't concerned in the slightest when I attached it to my A8V Deluxe, even though it exceeds the recommended HSF weight by 50%.

And yes, the difference between the A and B is the type of Fan Mate that accompanies it. The B is featured on the LED version as it allows fan speed to be decreased without any effect on the LED, and it still hooks into the MB for power, and thus reports its speed. (I gave up that ability when I hooked it into the Aerogate II.)

The difference between the aluminum/copper hybrid and the copper only version, in cooling performance, is not huge, but apparent. Probably around 1 or 2 degrees at idle, but more when it's placed under load.

And doesn't Al and Cu cause problems like rust (not that word I just can't spell the opther word) but they don't mix well right ? or is that only with water solutions ?

those dont usually happen unless you for some odd reason decide to use water to clean the heatsink or pour water into your system.. or even submerge your entire system in liquid

those shouldnt happen
hehe
and copper is suppose to corrode faster anyway (I think...)

the benefit of an all copper cooler has been challenged lately. Look at all of the new 'latest things' coming out in air cooling, many of them are copper-aluminum hybrids. The main advantage is getting more surface area for the same or less weight. Example, my XP120 (cu-al) weighs less than my SP-97 (cu) but the 120 absolutely dwarfs the 97 and cools much better.

It's called electrolysis. It's when dissimilar metals are used together. In the case of aluminum/copper heatsinks it won't be too likely unless you were to get it wet.
