Hi all, I am new to the AMD64 and hope someone here can give me some help.
The Athlon 64 3700+ said the HT is 2000MHz
I am thinking to get the ASRock model 939Dual-SATA2 motherboard, it said the FSB is 1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s).

If I put this 2 things together, does that mean the cpu can only performs at FSB 1000MHz (underclocking)?
I am not too good at those FSB stuff...

The only reason I want to get this motherboard is because I still can use my 9800pro video card.

Thank you!

oh thanks! great article!
if the FSB is no longer a factor for the AMDK8 cpu, then why does the Socket 939 motherboard still lists "FSB: 1000MHz Hyper Transport (2000 MT/s)" within the specs?

what cpu do you use?

thanks!

These Athlon 64 CPU all works fine on winxp, right?

Manufactors shouldn't use the term FSB, but they still do.
Yes, Windows XP will run fine.
