Hi....my cpu AMDx2 4200+ will be arriving tommorow and i am in desperate need for guidance...i do not trust this dealer at all so ,how can i know that he is giving me the real AMDx2dualcore 4200+ cpu...and how do i check it manually and from windows xp....+how do i know that i am running on two cores...HELP BEFORE IT IS LATE..

Look up chip here, one of the 4200+ tray part numbers should match the first line on your CPU. I got a ADA4200DAA5BV when I ordered mine little over 5 months ago. In Windows try CPU-Z.

hey amn....thanks alot...ok then...how do i know that i am having two cores from the xp windows taskmanager as presently i am having p4 3ghz hyperthreading on and i have never owned or seen amd processors...as i have read in the forum that in the devicemanager-processor two processor will be seen and i am seeing in my p4 the same thing also the taskmanager...any screenshots please help...HOw can i know the difference from the p4 HT
nice pic.......I am soo soo excited...i cant wait for tommorow....anyways i am using MSI K8 Neo4-FI,what do u think of the board.....and i have heard that a heatpipe heatsink come as the stock cooler is this right?how is the performance of this cpu

Sorry don't really know anything about that board.
Besides having 2 cpu usage graphs, I see the CPU name twice in Dev, Mngr (view by connection).

if it says 4400+ in CPU-Z, it would have taken more effort to change the internal name then it would have to just buy a 4200+ to resell. if it says 4200+ and is running at 2.2ghz, you should not worry.

you have got a 939 mobo for the cpu havent you?

Yes i have got K8 Neo4_FI Motherboard with !gb Hperx ram 160 Gb Sata.......HOw is this board?
