I am looking to purchase 5.1 speakers for my computer. I only intend to use them for music. I am not the biggest fan of too much bass. I am looking to see which speakers are better the x 530's or the x'5300e's both made by logitech. I would like the speakers with the clearest sound and not too much bass
the bass can be regulated in all 5.1 speakers i would think... and if you get a kit that cannot be modified physically, even windows can turn the volume down of the bass, so that's no problem. back to your question: the z5300s is a high end 5.1 kit, with a high end price tag (not so sure now really), while the X30 are entry level, 5.1 speakers for the masses. quality is, of course, very different. i'd get the Z5300 ASAP!
EDIT: forgot to mention that the X530s are basically my exact same speakers (Z640), but looking differently. i LOVE my speakers, can get REAL loud without any distortion of any kind. makes me wonder how beter, HD speakers sound!
and i love firefox 2 and it's spell check LOL!
