Do that. That's what I'm doing too.

You won't miss the 1% performance increase of AM2, but you'll live happier with less bugs until K8L.

there is no new bracket for the 754/939 9500, Zalman has released a new version of the 9500 designed to work with the new AM2 mounting system.

Am I making myself hard to understand or something?

What's the title of this thread?

"keep 939 or skip to AM2?"

Ravanger already bought DDR1 RAM and a Zalman cooler for 939. He's asking if it's worth selling that and getting an AM2 board with new RAM...

I say there's no need for AM2, and to go on with his plan of getting 939 and keeping the G.Skill DDR1 RAM...

Geez... /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

He already has the G.Skill DDR RAM and the Zalman cooler for 939. He would have to sell that, buy newer more expensive DDR2 RAM and cooler, get a buggy board, and for what? A %1 real increase from 939?

It's not known if today's brand new, buggy AM2 boards will work with K8L.
