Yeah well...awhile ago I bought a zalman cooler, the 7000B-AlCU. Well...that sing STINKS. A lot of people have told me that it gets decent temperatures, yet it does just as good as stock. Nothing better.

So yeah...problem I have is that this zalman has it's own special backplate. The stock backplate was HARD to get off, and now the back of my board is all scrateched up because of it. Frankly I'm surprised it still works after that gash with the exacto knife...

But anyways, I have another stock backplate, but I don't want to go through all that hassle again. So what I want to know is, since I'm not happy with this cooler, do the 120mm zalmans use the same backplate? Does ANYTHING else use that same backplate?

Thanks

Ok well...maybe slightly better, but defenitely not worth the money. And no, everything is working fine. The fan is turned up the entire way with the included controller, the AS5 was applied the way it's supposed to be, and it's making solid contact.
