The wife's system is finaly constructed....

Athlon 64 3200 (venice core)
1 gig of corsair xms ram.
Asrock dual 939 sata II (1.5 bios)
Ati Radeon 9800 pro (256 ram version)
and various hd's, dvd burner, gigabit managed network card... etc..

Now... It runs like a champ, takes everything I can possibly throw at it and just tears it apart and comes begging for more... I love it, wife loves it more....

It's a happy system...

One problem... We can't figure out why it doesn't like to reboot.. turning it off and back on is fine.. but if you press the restart button or "restart" from windows... it just hangs before "post"ing and ... sits....
Not a big issue... but pretty annoying when doing the whole fresh install of windows/patching/program install...

Anyway, in about a year I'll put a pcie video card in there and probably spend about $200-$300 on it...
For now... It's a beast and I love it.

Opty 170 @ 2.5ghz
Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe
2gig gskill @ DDR456 - 2.5-3-3-6
Saphire ATI Radeon x850xt @ 560/580 -SOLD-... Had to make ends meet.

That "not posting" issue is apparently very common with those boards. PM technic58, as I remember him having the same problem.

The fanboyism issue got worse. I'm gone (for now) got better again, I'm occasionally back.

Don't be stupid. Conroe > K8L SAYS WHO? K8L > Conroe SAYS WHO? No Benches = No Comparision
PortalForums Admin

Awesome man, I'm glad you finally got around to building / finishing it. Hope you enjoy it.

The reboot issue is a problem with the BIOS. Use the OCWBeta BIOS as it resolves this problem.

lame that Asrock users have to rely on custom unsupported beta bioses.

Yeah... I don't really get to enjoy it as it's my wife's system... hehe... but she loves it.

As for the reboot issue... I don't really know if I'd want to do a OCW beta bios... that whole.. beta.. and bios... just.. I don't know... doesn't sound ... nice?

heh heh.. it's just annoying, not really a show stopper.
