I'm too scared to give it more than 1.55v as 1.55 should be plenty for 2.9ghz
Im at 2.75ghz now with a 1.475 vcore

1.55V is the bare minimum for my single-core Opteron to reach 2.9GHz.

But this doesnt seem right. Im stable at 2.75ghz with a vcore of 1.475 yet at 2.85ghz im not stable with a vcore of 1.55

That's how it is -- the Opterons appear to go very far on stock or minimal voltage increases, and then they kind of need a huge chunk of voltage to hit the next level. They're weird like that.

Unless it's related to something else. Maybe it's a RAM issue. Maybe PSU...

Yea, I didn't know either until I tried it and found out myself. My Opteron will do 2.75GHz with just 1.4V, so I was shocked (I guess you could say that) when it needed 1.55V for 200MHz more.
