I would be kinda interested to buy myself a ASUS A8N32-SLI DX 2xPCI-X with my amd 64 4000 ( that I already got that was wather cooled) im looking to know if a stock amd 64 x2 4600 heatsinkwith and stock fan on it ( strait new from the box of the 4600 x2) would be good, sould I go water cooled but I don't wanna spend money for nothing...dont want to OC.... and will it void warrantie to change the stock cpu fan( to use a higher model stock cool). /excl.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":excl:" border="0" alt="excl.gif" />

If you are not OCing then why bother, you have a 3 year warranty with the boxed parts.

This Limited Warranty shall be null and void if the AMD microprocessor which is the subject of this Limited Warranty is used with any heatsink/fan other than the one provided herewith.

Three (3) Year Processor In A Box Limited Warranty

If your not OCing why are you spending cash on cooling, the stock HS&F is fine if your not overclocking. Spend money on some ram instead.

ya but at how much will I kool with a stock cpu fan.....I don't have the stock 4000+ heatsink and fan but only the 4600 x2 heatsink and fan.....im voiding my warantie anyway so I want something realy healty for my cpu witch would be a 40-45C...... will the stock work, or sould I get myself a termaltake cpu fan? and witch model is the most sugested?????...im jsut a guy trying to give it a longer life!!!

If you're not OCing, the stock HSF that you have will do fine.
If you're not comfortable, you can get a better HSF, like the Thermaltake BigTyphoon or the freezer pro. They'll give great results and will be more than enough for stock, and give you great results for OCing... and cost a lot less than watercooling

the heatpipe cooler that comes in the box with a 4600 is just fine, it's AMD approved, etc...just use some AS5, AC MX-1, or even the stock Shin Etzu that comes pre applied

yeh stocking is just great my x2 runs at 28c-34c max

on stock with no as5 or anything which is great but then i have good case cooling

aslong as you got good case cooling you get good cpu temps

that stock paste is now better than AS5. by up to 3*c after curing.

paste.....what paste we didn't talk about paste........ the heatsink his actualy equiped with a heatpad 4 the cpu to sit on( talking about the stock amd fan/heatsink) but 4 now I think I'l actualy try the fan and see the result but it would still suprise me to see a 4600+ x2 fan/heatsink not be enough 4 a single core 4000+!!!! I'l just make sure to have good casing fans.
