This may sound odd but i want to know the following

1, if i buy a graphics card can i install it on the motherboard i have a amd athlon™ 64

2. if i can what is the best one i can buy,

1) we need to know what motherboard you're using. Athlon 64 motherboards will either have an AGP slot, or a PCI express 16x slot (some motherboards will have two of these). If you have an AGP slot, your choices will be limited since PCI express is the current tech. There are some excellent AGP cards out there, though, so don't let using the older standard disappoint you.

2) "best you can buy" is subject to a flame war. if you're a gamer, then the best is either the 7900GTX by nvidia or the X1900XTX from ATI in PCI express. AGP is probably the 7800GS by nvidia.

sorry dont know the name of the motherboard all i know is it has 2 x pc1 slots which are white but dont know what the longer black slot is called...can i then buy a 3d graphics card to fit into the pci slots
