Hey, My Pc crashed for no reason while burning a cd and now everytime i restart i get all kinds of missing root files from stuff liek vsmon and zone alarm. I tried uninstalling ZA but it wont let me. So im wondering is their any way too fix this i realy dont want too be stuck reformating AGAIN. And i dont know why im getting all these problems since i got my SATA HD. I was thinking does the Winxp CD fix errors?

Thats true, if your board has locked sata ports, use them, I did and all my corruption problems went away at any OC.

Ok maybe i shud of specified im running on stock... I haven't Oced. And unfortunatly i never needed system restore so i always disable it i think if i reformat i will enable it. Anyone else have any ideas? I tried a few things: - I cant right click - Browsers wont work - Burning doesnt work - Word doesnt really work I need some files on the computer for school or i would have already reformated.

Install Windows XP on it but in another Folder (C:\WINDOWS.000 for example). The old Documents and Settings Folders won't be replace, instead, the new installation will create five or six new Folders that will be easily distinguible. After it finish the new installation, boot in Safe Mode, delete all the Files in the Root Folder, delete Program Files Folder, delete the old installation five or six Folders in Documents and Settings (Previously moved the documents that you want elsewhere), reinstall Windows XP again, then delete the other Windows XP installation Folder (WINDOWS.000) plus the new Documents and Settings Folders (For example, NetworkService.NT_AUTHORITY). Then you will have a clean Windows XP installation without the need of formatting.

EAZY!
pop your win disk in, load the sata drivers, then gointo the repair console. then type in CHKDSK /p and this will repair your win instalation.
if you can get into windows, properties on C: tools, disk checker, and select all of the options and reboot and let it run through.

sorry. lol boot off of it like your gonna reinstall, and usually when you hit return before the F8 thingy, there is the option to enter the repair console.

no clue, but your sig is way too big...and why aquamark3 forums? how active are they still? and why are they still active since AM3/jowood/aquanox is essentially dead? btw, o'neil, glad you got that fixed...but I thought it was interesting how quickly some jumped on the "it's your overclock, dude" bandwagon. if stable overclocks are such wonderful things, why are some so quick to blame them when something goes wrong?
