this weekend I was going to start progressively overclocking my new 170, I downloaded everest and when it came up I couldnt believe what it said... was saying my processor was running at like 44c in windows idle... (over 10 degrees higher than what the bios is showing) which is the more accurate? the room temp is 72F and the room itself is not warm by any means, its actually the coldest room in the house and the air circulation in the case is amazing... which temp should I trust as I'm not very comfortable stepping it up with that big of fluctuation.. any other programs I can use to get cpu temps? And can I expect a large temperature increase with overclocking to say 2500?

I actually looked around and discovered that smartguardian was on the DFI cd... got a sperate fan controller as well as I read that using the fan headers on the mobo is not recommended, smartguardian temps are ice cold (24-31c on air, time for oc action) [content edited] I love this Lian li case
