i just got my new screen (ill get pictures once i put my over on wallabove it)

it is 1650x1050 i normally game at 1600x900 since i got it as it dont strech the scren

my 7600GT is holding up css hl2 with easy at that res company of heros its ok at

Rainbow six surpising at that is ok but does lag now and again

just wondered 2 things

which gfx card could power that resolutions with good graphics

2nd. if i got R600 on its release and lobbed it in my x3800 2.0ghz manchine how much would you say it would be a bottleneck and would i get good fps without the Grunt in the cpu

no idea, having no idea if the R600 can even game, why not go get an 8800GTX agian. The R600 is unproven, unreleased tech, that even when it launches will take months before its widely availble, AMD may own them, but the same shoddy ATI engineers are at work, sure the cards tend to be good, when they finally get good yeilds from there designs.

it will bottleneck the gpu
a 8800gtx needs a core 2 duo @ 3.0+ to not be bottlenecked
