I'm looking for recommendations for a $500 to $800 system. I have been out of the game for about six months and know very little about conroe (Core 2 duo) and the latest AMD processors, motherboards, and chipsets. As far as video cards go, I think I can deal with those, but I still appreciate recommendations. I am open to multiple recommendations so I can present a couple very good options of different prices to the person I am building the system for. I want a dual core system, on either the Intel LGA platform or AMD's AM2. I do not want to overclock this system, so leave that out of the setup. I am looking for a very reliable, reasonable future ready system. (My last build for this person lasted 4 years still fast, they do not do a whole lot of gaming.. I'm looking to do even better with this system due to a higher budget.)

Parts I would really like recommendations on:

Processor
Motherboard
Memory
Power Supply
Video Card

Thanks

motherboard - $50-100
CPU- well I just seen a perty nice deal IMO, I know they don't plan on gaming but I'll post it anyway... http://www.newegg.com/Product/...d=0&PageSize=10&page=1 it's the one that comes with the saphire x1950gt for $301
other then that, just a x2 3600-42/4400 should work fine
Mem.- http://www.newegg.com/Product/...0054%2CN82E16820145590 any of those should be a nice kit
PSU- Antec sm2.0 500w for the price after the MIR, OMG that's a good deal.
and the c2d's, well, good for OCing, but they're a bit much.
