I need help. I cannot see 10 bit color in Photoshop. My equipment:

NEC PA271W (10 bit monitor)

Windows 7 x64

ATI FirePro V3800

Photoshop CS5 and CS6

When I enable 10 bit in the ATI driver and then launch NEC 10 bit application, two windows open (8 bit and 10 bit) and I not get any error, even I cannot see any differences between the two windows.

But when I open 10 bit file test "ramp.psd" in Photoshop CS5 or CS6, I always see banding as in 8 bit mode. So I don't understand where is the issue.

It could be a issue of cable? Display Port? Video Card?

If yes, should I have issues in 8 bit mode too?

Is V3800 card fully compatible with 10 bit monitor?

You should be able to get 10-bit color if you use a DisplayPort cable with a native DisplayPort port in the GPU. I do not believe that DVI/HDMI as currently implemented can handle 10 bti video IIRC.
