I´ve a "little" Fileserver for my own and for Lan - parties

Specs:

Dual Duron 1200
Tyan Tiger Mainboard
1GB Reg. ECC Memory

Mandrake Linux with FTP and Directconnect Server

Storage Sys:
40GB Harddisk for Linux and Boot
8x 120 GB Harddisks for Storage

Power Supply: Delta Server PS with 550watt

Case: now a Chieftec CS 901, if i have time, i will reconfigure the server in a Lian LI PC-78 Server Tower

that's a lot of cabling....

I was running 6 SATA drives at one point and it was fun to just tie 'em back and still have massive amount of uninterrupted airflow...

in december i will reconfigure the server in the new case, then is the terrabyte more than complete ( 6 extra 160GB SATA harddisks)

the boot disk is not in use for storage, on the storage sys are in the moment about 750 gig of files (is also my archive for my video server for my house where i live, and so i copied a lot of dvd´s on it)
