The Athlon64 4000+ CPU, and I will need a 939mobo as well.
What mobo will be my best choice? Must have AGP to suit my gfx card, and the rest of my system spec is in my sig. Preferrably with good compatability with my current components, and capable of the newer types of fast ram (on my next upgrade when I have saved some more pennies /blink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blink.gif' /> ).
I am in the UK, so prices in £'s if possible /biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />
Thanks for your help and advice /wub.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wub.gif' />

QUOTE(father-ted @ Oct 20 2005, 10:12 AM)Found a 3700+ San Diego in the UK for £187, and a 4000+ San Diego for £265.
Is the 4000+ worth the extra £78???
Also found a 3800+ San Diego for £217, but only a 512kb L2 cache? Can this post be moved into the 'desktop' section?
3700+ San diego is awesome. It is an awesome overclocker, and can easily reach the 4000+ speeds. Save the money and get the 3700+.

All now ordered, should be delivered to me on Friday, just in time for 'Call of Duty 2', and 'Civilization 4' /biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />
Was going to get the 3700+ chip, but could not resist the £233 price of the 4000+, including taxes and delivery /tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' />
Now all I need to do is keep the bank statements away from the missus /blush.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='blush.gif' />
