hello folks,


Im putting together an X2 4400 to do some 3d rendering and i wanted to know if my geil dual channel 1gb will do.

I hear 2gb are better as the two cores need that liitle bit extra, so not to keep accesing the HDD.


Your thoughts!

go with 2 gigs simply so you can be better prepared for longhorn...

I wouldn't worry about what Longhorn might or might not need since that's still at best a guessing game. How much memory you're going to need depends on the applications you'll be using and the size of the scenes you'll be creating.
