Hi!

I am in the process of deciding what to to buy: Opteron or Xeon? For me to decide, I need some info as to the comparison in their performance. I have developed an application based on open-source software (OS: Fedora, database: MySql). As such, my application will run either in 32-bit or 64-bit configurations, without any modifications.

Since I want to get the best value for every dollar spent, I want to know the performance difference between the two: Opeteron running on 64-bit and Xeon on 32-bit or in EMT64. I dont need the performance comparison in 32-bit environment, I want to get the most from Opteron.
