Ok so I decided I want to put some heatsinks on the mosfets on the motherboard. I was looking around at different sets, as well as what adhesive to use to accomplish this task.

Im really a bit nervous considering the word "adhesive" needs to be used. Im curious on some precautions as well as the proper way to do it all. Any tips, suggestions or websites/tutorials I should focus on? I have a feeling Im over-thinking this one, but its much better to be safe rather than sorry.

Most of the heatsink sets come with thermal tape, is this advisable?

I also intend on installing a 40mm fan on the NB & SB

Here are the parts I was looking at using:

Surface cleaner and purifier
Silenx 40mm

Im putting these. on instead, along with changing out the thermal paste to AS5 under the NB/SB factory heatsinks, I dont intend on changing out these though, I kinda dig it the way it is other than the fans.

When I get around to doing my system swap I will be doing the same,
I have several brass heatsinks left over after doing the same to my ECS motherboard.

I know on our board that the heat pipe covers the mosfets.

However there are several spots which require extra cooling.

I will provide a diagram.

Yes, and really I didnt know how else to relate what I was saying... But thats exactly where I intended to put hs's, the spots in Orange!

And it is determined that It will be better off using good thermal adhesive rather than supplied thermal tape.

looking at the board, you can see on the northbridge where a 40mm fan will attach. I ordered the black heatsinks, and they should be here this week sometime. I also ordered Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive also with the Surface cleaner/purifier.
