Hi!
I want to undervolt/underclock my phenom II X4 940 while idle (P4). Scythe Shuriken Rev.B cooler.
I played a bit with K10stat and (if the tools aren't fooling me) my system is pretty stable with the CPU clock at 400MHz (FID=0, DID=2), CPU voltage 0.7375V and NB voltage at 1.1750V. I got last crash at 0.7125V...
Could you please share your experience: what's the minimum CPU clock and voltage you got?

Cheers

Has changing these P3 state settings made any difference to the responsiveness of your system?
I'm looking to get a 955BE this month and would like to undervolt at normal high frequency, but doing this on the other states looks like a nice way to cut back on power and heat. Just not sure if it winds up making the machine feel a big laggy.

My subjective feeling is the machine is as responsive as with normal p3 settings. In any case, as soon as some load is detected the CPU will jump to a higher P state.
Perhaps interesting for you as well: I started a blog on the topic. See here http://underclockingundervolti...40-stable-k10stat.html my P3 setting is enough for internet browsing (even YouTube)

It would be great if you post details with details on the 955BE.
