I read an article on how to make a USB powered case fan. Get a USB cable (I had one from an old junk mouse), and case fan. Solder the red USB wire to the red fan wire, do the same with the black wire, and it's good to go. Point it anywhere that might need some extra cooling (including yourself ).

Now, I think I had better get a couple of fan guards.

Using more number of case fans wont help you to cool your PC. If you want to have better cooling i suggest you to try Arctic Cooling systems. They will provide you fans for Processors as well as cases just in case you want to have some extra cooling on your hard disk.
I there is no slot left open i suggest you open the side rack. Its the best option .
