Hey everyone.

I have an old Iomega external CD burner, and i decided it would be cool if i could take it apart and put a HD in the place of the CD drive, so then i would have an external HD. So i did this, and i turned it on and the HD spins up, but windows doesn't detect it, any ideas. Here are some pics of what i did

another view of it...

if anyone could help me with this it would be appreciated

thanks!

Edit- BAH! mime helped me figure it out, the enclosure uses an ATAPI contoller, so it won't work with a HD /ph34r.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ph34r.gif' /> well, it seemed like a good idea /wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' />
