Lately I have been running AIDA32's benchmark on different systems and this one seems to be underperforming. It has a mem read of 1857 mb/s and a write of 565 mb/s which is comparable to PC2100. I have PC3200 or ddr333 so I went to the bois and set the memory timer to tothat no more auto and did not get any inprovements. The memory is samsumg; I paid abit for it back then. Any ideas on what is making this slow ?

well the mem might be ddr3200 (which is in fact 400mhz) but is limited to the processor. Somone might want to correct me when i say i beleive the fsb on your processor is only 266 so your processor is chocking you. Also win me is known for it's memory missmanagement so you might want to consider upgrading to windows xp if that's in your budget. Also check your hcipset drivers, make shure you are using the latest ones for your board. And finaly, if you feel like spendinga few $ find out what the highest processor your mobo can support and drop some on that to increase your performance.

I got a friend who has WinMe, a 2.1+ with PC2100 and he gets read-write numbers alittle higher than mine. So maybe the processor has more to do with the preformance of the memory than I thought. I figured there should be some boost for quicker ram.
