i had a very hard time with my 6600GT agp ....it heats up too much i have seen temps goin beyond 95*c....so i was really worried about this .....i have done some work on this thing and fitted a AXP HSF fan onto it

i just added that 60mm fan on top of heatsink.....now it is running 8-10*c kooler then before ....specially on load temps are low.....here are some pics....the fan has occupied 2 PCI slots......

i am also trying to fit the whole AXP HSF onto it....lets see if i can do that......

I have the MSI version of this card but i'm not sure how hot it's getting. How did you tell the temps? I have touched the heatsinks and the big heatsink feels warm, but the little heatsink closest to the agp contacts feels pretty hot. Not hot enough to burn, but pretty hot.

The average room temprature also makes some difference. You live in a colder place, whereas Rahul stays in much hotter conditions.

How have you attached the fan onto it? Screws or glue or something else?
