need some help here , I know this may sound very stupid for some of you but I just do not understand what Volt moding is and what it would do for one's system. do you realy need it ? will it improve your system at all ? will it fry your system ? and all that ...

I guess you saw my post looking for some sites. Volt modding would be done by cutting traces on your mobo and adding in a potentiometer. It helps you put higher voltages out then what you can with the bios. I think voltage is holding back my OC now. I have been able to boot into windows and run some benches at up to 2.85 with a memory divider but am having problems getting it to be prime stable so I was thinking of a mod. You can do mods to increase your ram voltage or cpu and I have seen one for vdroop I think it was but have not read enough on that one yet.

yeah I saw that post . thanks I do not think I want to be cutting on my mobo though. I would like to see how it is done and learn more about it first ..
