Hi guys...i got this newprocessor amd 64x2 4200+ with k8neo4 fi board and i gb of hyperx ram..... and my tempt at idle is 31c and i would like u guys to suggest me how much should i go so that i will still be very stable and keep my tempt normal....i am using i am using 5 fans,,,,now and modd the case for good airflow...so please suggest

Standard response would be to keep increasing CPU Bus Speed by 5MHz until you hit a "wall". That's where you go back 5MHz, and then stay at that speed. It's a game worth playing!

ok thanks,,,,,What is the normal tempt for a AMD 64x2 4200+ idle and load.......stock at 2.2ghz

Errm, there are a few threads with that answer, but here's a shot at it. There is no "set standard" for temps. Generally, if you can get your idle at least in the 30s and load in the 50s, you shoule be just fine. If you get lower, the better.


If idle is over 45C and load over 60C, I'd look into a new CPU HSF combo or fans for your case. Just to add, 120mm fans push more air and are quiter than 80mm fans, but not all cases are compatible...hopefully yours is~!
