Dear AMD users,

I have an ASUS M2N-E board with an FX-62 CPU running ubuntu 64.

With Cool n' Quiet enabled, the CPU multiplier ranges from 5X - 14X (1000 MHz - 28000 MHz)
When, I disable Cool n' Quiet, I can manually set the CPU multiplier to 15X (3000 MHz) and run stable, but I lose the ability to drop the processor frequency and voltage down under low-load conditions.

Is there any way to modify the powernow daemon in linux, so that the available multiplier range is between 5X - 15X ?

Thanks in advance,
kuba

what is the system used for and is it really that much of a need to oerclock the cpu?
