Ok i was having problems with my Actiontec GT704WG because it was getting way too hot(as in i could realy cook an egg on it, I tried). Well I did some rigging. I took my wallet(empty) a handheld fan, and a roll of tape to cool it down

Heh nice, that's what I like to see, improvising. A lot of people would have gotten a new modem, but not you, you just strap a fan to it. Nice!!

But yeah...dang, a modem running to hot? Haven't really had that happen...I've got a Surfboard modem at mom's and some random Westell modem at dad's. None run even remotely hot..
