well i got it assembled, finished sanded and a couple coats of finish on it.
i still need to do a sand and final coats.
then i can start putting it together-hopfully by next weekend
few more pictures with some finish (and no more clamps-lol)

notice how the grain comes out with finish.
i am not going to put a gloss finish on it,i just want to protect it and bring out the grain.
i have seen too many gloss finishes on wood that look phony,i want this to look more natural
thanks go to the wife and daughter for painting the cutouts.

i am looking forward to having this up and running

Well it is about 95% done.
i left my magnets at work so i cant put my sides on yet,but ifinished eveything so she is ready to go

a couple pictures to compair the size of my old case to this one-lol

i should have this 100% done in the next few days-sides on and all.
as you can see,or cant see, i have to pat myself on the back for my cable management.
i took my time with it.
not really easy trying to hide all those wires (i could have hidden a body in this case-lol)8 fans,2 controllers...so air flow shouldnt be a problem.
i will have the last of the pictures when 100% done-sides on light going, the whole ten yards.

That is beautiful mate.

I love wood.

I make all my wife's guinea pig hutches and runs but I would love to do this sort of thing. Unfortunately my power tools arn't nearly as accurate as they would need to be to do this.

i didnt really think about selling them on ebay-i wonder if i should put this up for sell and see what kind of offers i get.

dont really know what its worth. ( well to me it is worth my time and material-but this is a custom one of a kind case so that should add some value)

I would think that if you find the right people they will pay a pretty penny look at some of the cases on newegg defiitly not as nice as that going for like what 400 bucks

this is more of a bump than anything-well sort of.

i am done-yes done (well until i get another 260).
i am running some stress tests and benchmarks on it now.
i changed the HSF to a dual 120mm push/pull configuration.
addes another fan controller (the best thing i have ever bought).

i will post the final pictures later (i need to get some when it is dark,so you can see how it glows-purty)

i am going to pat myself on the back ,it turned out better than i hoped and was well worth the time, hassle, and blood-i will keep making cases as long as i can buy the components to go inside-lol

the problem is that i dont want to put middle of the road system inside of these cases, they need to be top of the line (well somewhere arond 80% top of the line-lol).

will have picts today or tomorrow.

looks like i get to start on a new case-any ideas?

this is FINISHED (as for the case).
couple final pictures, made a couple changes.
not the best pictures, but you will get the idea.

now you see it...

now you dont-lol

with all 10 fans at full speed this thing will take off,it is very loud and very bright.
with just 4 fans on (2 at the bottom,1 at top, and the HSF fan) it is very quite and still at 43c underfull load.
i configured the fans to cool different things.
example,if i am running the HDs for a long time like trsnfering dvds, files,etc... i can turn on just the fans to cool the HDs.
for gaming i can turn on the bottom fans to help cool the video card, as with both the HSF fans.

thanks for all the replies, will start onother case within a month or so,when i can afford a new build.

Great work with the finished product.
Maybe you can do a SFF with an
intergraded flip up LCD with some
of the leftovers from your previous
builds.
