thank you.

Amazing the difference it makes over stock (crap) cooling.

Just little update

750 - 1600 - 2800 runs flawless stable now in all games and temps didnt look to have gone up much at all.

so I took my ram HS's off and replaced the stock sticky tape with top notch MX-2 . I also replaced the ram HS's with solid bar aluminum HS's all but 2 of the rams and they used the 2 largest HS's from the other pack. I then used small foam pads to press the HS's down and between the main HSF set.

Didn't change the look of it more then the green ram HS's in the pic are now one solid silver one. The outcome was once again dramatic enhancement.

This was done running far cry 2 for 1 hour solid on ultra a high settings and 756 - 1600 - 2800 overclock settings.

Here is the results.

OUTSTANDING!!!! I found that Artic cooling makes an after=market cooler for my cards as well....just like yours, unfortunately, it will not fit on eother of my boards....way to thick.....ugg.....kinda depressing....oh well...I will just have to save up for the water cooling setup I guess....darn!

Clearly Size is its only limiting factor.

cooler is near 1 1/4 inches longer then the the card its self @ 11.5 Inches making it near the 13 inch mark.

My case is masive in side so it takes it with room to grow even. But a mid sized tower like the Antec 900 and Antec 900x2 would be impossible with out modification.

Just FYI encase anyone wants to try this mod for them self's.

Few last Items as well.

Not one of the pads the kit came with was used. Every last HS used has MX-2 on it and foam pads pressed between the HSF and ram HS's where used to keep a tight firm pressure and make sure the HS's for the ram do not fall.

The shader core HS was replaced with a larger aluminum model made for chip sets. It has MX-2 on it and has plastic spring loaded push pins holding it in.

So only the HSF assembly was used for the kit and the Ram HS's and shader core HS was all custom picks.

Final product is this

and the outcome of this mod can be found above this post.

nice Job.. Looks amazing .. is there any concern about warranty from Zotac.. i am kinda paranoid about losing my lifetime support.. also why does your memory on the Zotac firestorm interface panel show your memory at 2800.. when i first saw that i was quite curious..

First question

Not about to go tell them I installed an after market cooler. I saved the stock cooler in tact and ready to be put back on and they will never know.

answer to second question is

it shows the memory as its ACTIVE clocks and not its base clocks.

But ill tell ya one thing, I took my time installing this. I hate RMA's more then anything lol.

Very Creative! Especially the addition of the foam to hold things in place I have seen many reviews where others leave the RAM unattended not so in this case with the extra HS. Nice Job!

needed to cool the ram so I could get that 2872 clocks stable lol.

the foam pads are so nothing falls or loosens and the HS's stay in full contact at all times.
