I imagine we have to just rely on honesty to stop people voting for their own rig, and no I haven't voted for myself. I have just voted and as you can see I still have zero votes, LOL

no way to really prevent it, I don't see mcuh wrong with a self vote anyway, everybody would theoretically have the same baseline (1)

Okay Immortal . I thought we would use our vote to vote for our own rigs ! Please remove my 1 vote because that is mine . I guess us owners don't vote at all . That is okay by me I just want to play by the rules !!! I dont understand you guys that are entered voting for other rigs is where I am confused ??

Well I voted for someone else, its a bit up yourself to vote for your own case isn't it.

On other forums which ran little contests like this they all pm'd their votes to the OP and he posted the results. Seems more sensible to me.

Seems complicated and secretive to me. Like I said, it's your vote, if you feel your case is best, then theoretically you'd vote for yourself. I had my mouse over pcnazz's case for a few seconds before clickingmine, lol.

Theoretically, everybody who competed is going to vote, and theoretically those original who vote all have the ability to provide a zero baseline.

I don't want to know who voted for who, it's an anonymous poll, should be kept that way, especially from the OP.

Like I said, I'm willing to make this flexible, but there's no real control over the poll as a user. All I can do is request that the contestents vote for their own rigs or someone elses., but there's no control.

I cant see voting against myself !!! We should be locked out of this thread and let the rest vote . The ones who entered can use there vote how ever they want or not vote at all . That is how voting works anyways either way I just stated ! I'm not asking anyone to vote for me . The site is in my sig and what ever happens happens . Its a fun thing to do every month .

Personally, I decided to abstain from voting here, but that's my choice. I feel it's just a bit of fun and a good way to see some of your nice rigs.

@IL, I agree you did a nice job on this. Thanks!

Ummm....politics? shareholders? small-charity groups when they lobby? umm...

lol, no worries bud, like I said, if I were a mod, or admin instead, and I could lock out specific users, I would, put it behind closed doors, but it's not

Politicians and shareholders, not the most honest of people to use as an example, besides with politicians your talking about them voting for themselves in amongst millions of other votes so its not quite the same.

As RBR said it's just a bit of fun so I suppose it makes no odds really .

yeap, like I said, if I had more control, it would make this a lot easier on me, anda little more fair, but we got to deal with what we have.

Grubb, I see that second account. I see all :ninja:

I have no way to guard against this, but don't screw this up, k bud?
Do I need to deduct that point from yours?

Listen people, we're on the honor system here, so please, please don't ruin this for everybody, not cool.

The other option is, I can have everybody post "Voted" in the thread, if the number of votes do not match the number of posts -1, then we could re-run the poll, but I can see that getting so complicated it's rediculous, especially on such a large and open forum.
