gonna throw 1 more coat of paint on it tomorrow after work and then let it dry over night then i'll clear coat it over the next couple days ... once its all painted i'll get the case put back together so that i can clean up some of this mess in my apartment and get organized haha ... i'll probably have to wait for a couple paychecks to order all the sleeving and stuff for the cables... sucks having bills to pay :\ .. it is what it is though.

looks like something got on it? oil?
did you sand the primer coat? use a tack cloth?
too much heat?
does it flake off easily?

I would just sand those areas down to metal and reapply some new paint. Hard telling what did it but it is a simple, although time consuming, process. I know what you're thinking though......LOL....ah screw it....just continue on.....BUT...when you're done and don't fix it, you'll always look right at those spots and wish you did instead of admiring your handywork in its entirety....LOL

i know right .. i'm gonna let it all dry for a good 3 days or so before i do any sanding so i know its completely dry .. someone told me to get like 600+ grit sandpaper after its completely dry and just sand those spots down smooth and spray some fresh paint on .. so thats what i'll do ... just sucks haha.

You may also want to go to your local Auto/Paint store and grab some Tack Clothe for removing any dust and/or oil your hands may have left on the metal surface.

lol i know. maybe i should have just never showed you guys in the first place then nobody would ever know haha

if i do notice that any of it is showing after the case is back together i will then fix them. but i'm pretty sure it wont show at all.

i actually like the "matte" finish ..

any tips on getting fans apart? i've tried putting a little elbow grease into just pulling it apart but i'm afraid i'll break it ...

and is there a way to reverse the direction that the fan spins?

there should be a retention clip under the sticker on the hub.

Take apart a case fan

painting a case fan

Case fan disassembly

i didnt watch or read, but these should get you going.

so are you going to paint your fans?
you gonna put them in the case with the messed up paint job-lol

-dimwit-

EDIT: ok i just took one of my new fans apart-seemed easy enough, just be careful with the small clips.
i have been wanting to try this-now i need paint-lol
