(i am starting to get a chubby-lol) my 250mm rez's took apart fans for painting- the 120mm were black so i just had to paint the fins. the 200mm and the 80mm needed both black and white. here is a before of my pump and now cut and sanded off the knobs, also the bottom bracket screw holes. i left the top ones for further mods. this is way i modded my pump i made a mesh grill with soon to be painted acrylic (to cover the PSU) and cut out a hole for the pump to sit in and i can still crossfire. below the mesh and pump, i cut out and installed a 200mm fan between the bottom of the case and the mesh bottom thingy? (that took some modding to get it to fit-worked great. now i have it blowing into the case cooling the pump and giving fresh air to my GPU. not the best picture-it is black and white also i attached a couple 80mm fans to my CPU WB for added cooling-BBBBUUUURRRRR!!!! well i didnt get my fan controller yet-bummer- so i cant finish, but i still have plenty to do. more painting, put fans together,etc... well i hope you enjoyed this round, maybe more in a few days -dimwit- ------------------------- I don't suffer from insanity. (i need to notch the top piece about 1 inch in the back before i can put it on) i pulled a couple wires out of my 80mm fans, so i need to get me a soldering iron (and a couple more fans if i screw it up-lol) still waiting for the fan controller-i hope today. looks like i have a few dishes to do-lol i need to pull my 5870 apart and paint it. the weather is krappy-so no paint for a day or so. -dimwit- ------------------------- I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

dimwit13 Code Warrior Posts: 2667 Joined: 04/04/2008	well i got my fan controller today-yea! i still have 1 piece of mesh to cut-behind the drive bays. a couple wire holes, a little fine tuning tear it down, final sand, finish the painting and put it all back together. (i have to fix my 80mm fans) these should be the last pictures until i am done-maybe-lol -dimwit- ------------------------- I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

dimwit13 Code Warrior Posts: 2667 Joined: 04/04/2008	i forgot distilled water so i cant finish-URGH!!! well almost put back together. i just have to clean the inside my rad and put the loop together. i dont know if i am gonna try and fix my 2x80mm fans or just buy a couple new ones. should be 95% done in a couple days. i pulled the 5870 apart nd redid the TIM, i changed the TIM on the MB also. (i get less ketchup on McDonalds cheeburger, than the TIM they preapply no more red on the 5870, but the wires on the 24 pin connector stick out like a sore thumb. (sleeving the cables is my summer project) i have to give the case a good cleaning also. -dimwit- ------------------------- I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.
