Buddy of mine dropped this off today. Wish he had a month ago I would have bought an ATX board had that been the case haha get it "case"

Anyways its an old el-cheapo Antec aluminum case.

I was thinking I might put my current gaming rig in it if I can get some ideas on how to improve it.
I like the extra space, side panel window and abiltiy to route wiring better but dont care for its color or its cooling options.
I was thinking of mounting a side fan on the glass side panel but havent a clue what fan to look for or what works best.

Any ideas no matter how far out there Id like to hear as long as they are cheap.
If I cant turn it into something interesting/cooler [air flow haha get it cooler ] case im going to just leave my old athlon 620 in it.

it is a good looking case, it has some potential
what type of tools do you have and if so, how many fingers do you still have-lol.

how much money are you willing to invest?

That case needs some flames painted on it. Then, maybe install one of those digital picture frames in the window. Okay, maybe you didn't mean that far out.

Seriously, it's not a bad looking case and all that room must be pretty nice to work with.

I got a 23 gallon air compressor, mig welder, 5k tool box, and the all mighty DREMEL so ya I have plenty of toys.
Im an unemployed mechanic by trade with half a pinky finger missing.
Id be willing to part with say ~$35 bucks in fans paint etc. as long as I can pimp this ride.
It dont want to put money into it really so cheapest is best.

I like the flame idea but its been done alot before. Maybe a giant blue smiley face decal with some kind of backgound color
I really like the mesh grill you got going on in you case dimwit so if you have suggestions where I might use that.
Ive never really tricked out a case before so im not sure whats even out there for use material wise. Link please
Like the mesh thing I wouldnt have even thought of that.

As for cooling Id like to run the quietest fans possible as this is in my bedroom and I torrent share and light fold while I sleep.
The side panel has more than 9 inches squared for a panel fan.

Slave how about the outside.... white with a mirror finish and blue on the inside, and then match the Blue smile face on the outside with the blue on the inside?

thats a good idea!
put your avatar picture on the side.

here is a link to a mod supply site-MN PC tech

there might be some thing here to spark your imagination.
the prices on some of the stuff is high, but if you see something you like, you can search for it somewhere else.

here is a couple sites to see some mods.

MOFO cases

bit-tech

do some searches and take a look around.
it takes me a good week to come up with what i will do.

i say, start with a couple fans (bottom and front) for good airflow.
then paint and maybe a side mod (mesh)

just take your time with it-it sux when you screw something up-i know-lol

let me know what you come up with and we will go from there..

Perhaps some expanded metal for the fan as a grille, use simichrome paint on it, white is fine, and your avatar,,,yesss,,, i see it clearly,,,looks like a 120mm fan in the side? It kinda begs for it doesn't it? deep clearcote the white after the decal,,more chrome painted expanded metal in th front after cutting out the cover,,,,,and lights,,,lots of em??
