Chilled Water, only to be used on suicide runs. wPrime for example. Built this simple, easy, cheap 1gal heat exchanger (water chiller) for under $35 USD.
20' of 1/4" I.D. x 3/8 O.D. copper tubing. Dual pass wound by hand. $24 USD @ Home Depot.
1 gal cooler ($4) and 2 O-ringed compression fittings ($6)
1" thick neoprene insulation wrapped in aluminum tape and then wrapped in black duck take. Freebee
Now lets put this rig to the test.
2 Test. One at stock Bios Settings and another at my generic 4GHz clock. Same clocks as all other test in post #1. Cooler was filled with water and ice.
For makeup water I'm using distilled water bottled by magical little people that live deep in the Hawaiian forests.
After an initial test run I had way too much condensation forming in the NB Water Block. Must be all that pretty chrome. So I decided to insulate the MB. Nothing too fancy, just enough to run a few test.
Oh, and here's some condensation. NB and radiators sweating like ....
Results of test are recorded in post #1 (CPU and NB WC with Ice Water Chiller )

Thank you everyone. That mini-tower has my hands all cut up.
This is an ongoing project. Post #1, 2, and 3 will be updated periodically with more pictures and temperature tests. Just updated post #1, 2 and 3.
And here is a short video that shows how the 2 pumps are flowing during an initial purge. After running chilled water tests.

Lol, I'm also faster than a speeding bullet and more powerful than a locomotive, hehe.
Actually, I did do it by hand. Just a 4" PVC coupling to help form the coil. Coiled it inside the coupling then coiled it around the outside. PITA.

my h50 mod has changed considerably so. It is nice ice water cooled.
will post pics later
one difference I will add is I added a drip shield to the top of the HDD,s to prevent any drip damage possibility.
I also use a large reservoir with 1 large external pump and the internal H50.
