why not?

Granted the ram *may* not get that hot, but then again, we really don't know a whole lot about this rig!

Bring on the updates... we need to see more of this!

Try turning your hard drive around so that the connectors are on the other end (facing the fans) that will reduce some of the lower clutter.

Sleve those wires. or make judicious use of the zip ties. Tame those power cables! That will make the computer look much nicer! Another possibility is to take the power cable legs that you are not using and get them out of the case, and maybe taped to the bottom of the motherboard tray on the back side.

Just options! most of the above will not cost much money if any at all.

Good luck! And post up pics of your results!

Hey,

I know you're planning on watercooling it so that limites the amount of airflow you need, but pulling air is a lot more successfull than pushing air in terms of tight places. In general, it is much more effective to have a fan pulling air out of a case (with it infiltrating from wherever) than it is to blow air into a case with it exfiltrating from wherever. (It might be quieter to suck air in rather than out - though I'm not sure) One fan sucking air out will make for a much lower temperature than one fan blowing air in.

That being said, if you are trying to direct the air at one particular spot (Say the only heat generator left that isnt' watercooled) then it might make more sense after all. Also, remember that fans working in parrallel (2 fans sucking air out/in) are much more effecient than fas working in series (One fan sucking out, one fan sucking in)! In series you'll slightly increase your airflow as you are lowering resistance. In parrallel you'll almost double your airflow as you are increasing volume and fan blade area by two.

I learned all this the hard way - trust me. Hehe.

Good luck!

And hope you aren't grounded too long!
