Hi Guys,
Been off the forums the last few months, primarily busy at work. However, I've been practicing some modding techniques (surprisingly, using a Dremel isn't quite as easy as you might think until you get the hang of it.). I saw AMD FX60's Lian-Li he had built for him by Maingear PCs. I had just ordered a Black Lian-Li V1100 Plus Black Case from Performance PCs (I highly recommend them, a little pricey, but first class workmanship and service), with a full view window mod, and a 120mm Fan hole cut in the window.

I decided I wanted to stealth the cabling, like Voodoo PC does on their Omen F:1 series in their MAG cases. To do this mod, the HDD (in my case, two Maxtor 80GB DM9+ SATA 150s in RAID 0, and a 100GB Maxtor DM10+ Ultra ATA 133) needed to be installed backwards. To do this, I had to move the two HDD cages in the Lian-Li towards the centerline of the case 1". In addition, I wanted to mount my Antec True-Blue 480W PSU in its normal configuration (i.e. intake fan down), which meant that the cable runs would be towards the back side of the case, out of view. In addition, the HDD cage, PSU wall would need to be rotated 180 degrees, so the cable pass thru opening was towards the back so the cables could be routed). I then decided to sleeve all the PSU cables to tidy things up as well (not that you can see many cables.

I added a Blue Led Thermaltake 120mm Thunderblade to the side window, (blowing in, as is the front 120mm fan that cools the HDDs. The rear 120mm fan is normally oriented to blow in on the V1100 plus, because it has a CPU duct and a Graphics card blower (both of which I didn't use as I have the case window fan), but as I had two 120s now providing air, I reversed it to exhaust. This lines up with the Zalman9500 CNPS CPU HSF, which sucks cool air over the RAM, through the HSF, then over the power MOSFETS and out the case.

I'm running my 6800GT with the Arctic Cooling nVSilencer 5, but of course in this orientation, the cooler is now on top.

This Rig is totally silent! My old Athlon64 Clawhammer 3700+ is OC'd to 2.65GHz, and the OCZ RAM is OC'd to DDR530.

Temps at idle are running 36C in an 80F room.

This is the case I’ll be building my AM2 rig in next year.

Tell me what you think?

your's looks better than FX-60's setup, well except for him having the 2 flat panels.
That wiring is seriously superb, you can barely see the wires [content edited] good job on it
BTW how was performance PC, I'm thinking of ordering the Lian-Li PC-6070AW PLUS case. The V1100 is too much for me maybe.$100+
Well after looking at your's again maybe I'll just save up a bit longer and get the V1100 /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I highly recommend Performance PCS. The owner, Hank Baron personally responds to e-mails (you can call him as well). Great workmanship, fast order turn around. Link to the resellers rating link on their web page, for scores and comments. Only issue is they use UPS for large items (spoiled by Newegg when they used FedEx). They send small items via US Postal (but first class!.
And they will accept overseas orders!!

Thanks all for the kind reviews.
