Rumor has it Microsoft plans to release a hotfix for quad cores to enable more evenly spaced threading. A cookie goes to the person that can remember what it is. PorscheRacer14 Ardrid Returned Posts: 5488 Joined: 06/05/2007	The 4850X2 and 4870X2 currently have SidePort disabled at the software level. When enabled this allows for inter-GPU memory bandwidth transfers to gain 5GB/s both ways allowing for a much higher and quicker bandwidth than going over PCIe 2.0 PLX switch or over the Crossfire bands or through the motherboard's PCIe links. 9.1 Catalyst drivers are supposed to be the big performance gains after the 8.12 Stream code goes active, so maybe this is where the performance boost will come from? Then again, it could be pure game optimization, but I do know that the 4000 series and more specifically mid-range to high-end cards are supposed to get a big performance boost in the 9.1 drivers.
